Alba Reveals School ‘Slut’ Insults March 2, 2008

Jessica Alba has claimed that she was called a “slut” by her school principal and PTA mums during her childhood. The actress discussed the slur in a new essay collection by famous women writing to their younger selves, claims the New York Post. In the book, called If I’d Known Then, Alba writes: “The accusation still ricochets..They think I’m a slut?” Alba also revealed that her first kiss came at the age of seven and that she did it to try to get herself picked for the local baseball team. She adds: “Boys are awful. They are made of nothing but hormones until they’re about 20 or 21. It’s fun to have a crush, but don’t think it’s forever.” Other stars who have contributed to the book include Julia Foudy, activist Zainab Salbi and actress Danica McKellar.

Lohan Worries About Film Career March 2, 2008

Lindsay Lohan has admitted that she is worried about becoming an out-of-work actress. The star, who is best known for her roles in Mean Girls and Freaky Friday, found that offers of work were beginning to dry up after she hit the headlines for her personal problems in 2007. Lohan was arrested twice for driving under the influence last year. She also had three separate stints in rehab and spent time in jail. “Right now I just want to find a great script, a great role,” Lohan told Paper magazine. “I was so used to working and working and working and for a few months there was nothing for me to do. Now I know what it’s like to be an out-of-work actor, and how much it scares me.” Lindsay’s most recent film I Know Who Killed Me was panned by critics and received a number of prizes at this year’s Golden Raspberry Awards, which recognise the industry’s worst movies

According to the source, Ash’s current diet comprises sprouts and liquids like juices and soups. Shankar is very particular even about the smallest details in his films. He has churned up some of the biggest hits like the Rajnikanth starrer Sivaji and the Kamal Hassan starrer Hindustani. He wants to leave no stone unturned for Robot too. So Aishwarya has already started to loose weight, through gymming and dieting, ending recent tabloid speculation that she is pregnant and has withdrawn from the film. Meanwhile, the release of Aishwarya’s next film, Ram Gopal Varma directed Sarkar Raj, has been delayed because Amitabh Bachchan is not happy with the way the climax, featuring him and Abhishek Bachchan, was filmed and has asked Varma to re-shoot it.

Mischa Barton Not Joining Gossip Girl March 2, 2008

Actress Mischa Barton has turned down a role in CWs Gossip Girl, say her reps. The 22-year-old actress was contacted to play Georgina Sparks, an old friend of reformed party girl Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively). She will not be on the show. She was approached, but her reps passed, Usmagazine.com quoted her rep, as saying. Right now, Barton is in Paris attending Fashion Week and also doing promotion of her upcoming drama Closing the Ring. The TV and stage actress was recently charged with DUI and marijuana possession from a December arrest. Barton was last seen on the Fox hit The O.C. however, her character was killed off in 2006.

She was hyped to create a storm in the industry with her charming looks, sensuous acting and girl-next-door looks in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-talked about film ‘Saawariya’. Yes, we are talking about the sleep-eyed Sonam Kapoor, whose hopes fell flat when the film bombed at the box-office. While critics wrote her off and the film, Bhansali was quick to get to his film’s rescue as he openly blasted Farah Khan and her non-realistic story! It was like putting salt to Sonam’s wound when her co-star, Ranbir Kapoor walked off with all the popularity and the ‘Discovery of the Year’ awards, while she kept gazing at her competitor and newcomer, Deepika Padukone getting her share of limelight! Well, Deepika left no stone unturned when she commented that ‘She had made it big without any star connection’! Now, Bitch has another story to say! According to Bitch, Deepika can get really catty at times, while Sonam is the exact opposite, mild-natured and mellowed down. The recent news on Sonam Kapoor is that she has bagged a good plum role in Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra’s ‘Dilli 6′. But, her bad luck continues, as the film is getting delayed and this is surely affecting her stakes in the industry. All started with a casting problem, with actors from Hrithik Roshan to Akshay Kumar being considered, before Abhishek Bachchan was taken in for the role. Soon after the shoot started, the first Assistant Director of the film decided to take off to the USA, leaving all in the lurch. The Bitch’s source informs, “It was very difficult to continue with the shoot, owing to this sudden departure of the first AD. Once, while a very important scene of the film was being canned, there was no one to give Sonam her dialogues. And the shot was finalized without Sonam even saying her lines, can you imagine? Rakesh only realized this later and when Sonam was queried about the same, she simply said that nobody gave them to her.” The Bitch truly feels sorry for the film maker, but Sonam surely needs to pull up her socks and get more professional in her attitude. Well, is it that Om Prakash Mehra will now face the flak and be at the receiving end, after Sanjay Leela Bhansali paid his huge price? Only time will tell!!

Britney Threatened With Eviction March 2, 2008

As if she doesn’t have enough problems, Britney Spears was threatened with eviction from her home last month. The troubled pop star received a letter from her landlords warning her to pay the £17,500 rent plus late payment fees or face being kicked out from her Malibu pad. Property company Love Shack Trust said Britney would have to “surrender and deliver up possession of said premises,” if they did not receive payment. Fortunately for Britney – whose affairs are now in the hands of her father by court ruling – she paid up and escaped further action.
