She became an accidental film star early in her career, but now socialite Paris Hilton is hoping to become a real Hollywood actress. Still, the 26-year-old hasn’t strayed too far away from familiar territory – in one scene from her new film the Hottie And The Nottie, she strips off to just her skimpy lingerie. In the film, Paris stars as the object of affection for Nate, played by Joel Moore, who’s had a crush on her since primary school. To win her over, he must first find a boyfriend for her less attractive friend. The heiress is currently in Berlin to on a promotional tour for her new champagne drink Rich Prosecco. Earlier this week, she arrived in the city with 18 suitcases in tow, and checked into – where else? – the local Hilton. She told reporters she is planning to trawl through the markets for festive ornaments, but when asked what she really wants for Christmas, she replied: “A man to fall in love with, one for life, that I can start a family with.” Paris is set to continue her acting career with a starring role in Repo! The Genetic Opera!

Jolie Tops List of Sexiest Movie Stars

Angelina Jolie has topped a list of the 100 Sexiest Movie Stars Ever. The ‘Beowulf’ actress topped the poll, conducted by Empire magazine, to find the most beautiful star of the silver screen. Angelina claimed the prestigious title because of her “pneumatic figure, feline eyes and lips that could have been stung by several hives of bees”. She narrowly beat Natalie Portman, who finished in second position after “making baldness sexy” in ‘V for Vendetta’ and setting men’s pulses racing with her raunchy pole dancing scene in ‘Closer’. James Bond actor Daniel Craig – who wowed women in ‘Casino Royale’ when he emerged from the ocean in a pair of tight-fitting blue swimming trunks – came third, while ‘Fantastic Four’ beauty Jessica Alba finished fourth. ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star Johnny Depp rounded off the top five. Other entries on the list, which was voted for by 20,000 film fans, included Matt Damon – who was recently voted People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2007 – who took 17th spot. British stars Christian Bale, Kate Winslet, Orlando Bloom, Kate Beckinsale and Clive Owen all made it in to the top 25, with ‘Harry Potter’ actor Daniel Radcliffe coming in at 23. ‘Volver’ actress Penelope Cruz took 50th position and the entire list was rounded off by ‘Die Hard 4.0’ actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Nash Refuses To Endorse Brands

British singer/songwriter Kate Nash will never put her name to a fashion or perfume range like her contemporaries Lily Allen and Britney Spears – because she’d hate to be associated with a mainstream brand. The Foundations hitmaker, 20, insists she won’t accept freebies from companies, or endorse a clothing brand, because she would feel insincere. She says, “I got asked to model for a store for lots of money but there’s no way I’d do that. I buy clothes from charity shops. I’m always being offered free laptops and things. I turn them down because I’m trying to get people to think about what they do and stand up for being an individual.”

Mallika – The Queen Of Cameos!

The undisputed sex bomb of Bollywood has sadly relegated herself to mere cameo appearances in all her films released in 2007. The year began on a thumping note for Mallika Sherawat, as she belly-danced to Turkish tunes in the song Maiyya Maiyya in Mani Ratnam’s film Guru. Though Mallika had just one-song appearance in the film, she did scintillate in those five minutes of screen-time she got at the very beginning of the movie. Then came another hot number. This time it was the modernized version of the cult song Mehbooba Mehbooba, arguably the mother of all item numbers, in Himesh Reshammiya’s acting debut Aap Ka Suroor . Though the song did not turn out to be a rage among music buffs, Mallika did manage to catch attention with her Helen-esque gyrations in gypsy costumes. And now, as the year draws to a close, ready for release is Anees Bazmee’s comedy Welcome, which has Mallika in a special appearance once again. Contrary to the popular notion that Mallika has a full-fledged role in the film, the actress has made it clear in a letter to her fans that she plays only a brief role in the film. Mallika writes: “Guru, Aap Ka Suroor, Welcome and Dasavatharam feature me in Cameos/Guest Appearances/Special Appearances – call it what you may and I enjoyed doing all of them, but in no way did I star in any of them. I’m also sure as hell both ‘Welcome’ and ‘Dasavatharam’ are gonna hit the jackpot!” Explaining her conspicuous absence from leading roles in films this year, Mallika writes: “For me I used the period to read scripts and prepare for my next few starring roles. In the meantime it was a period where I wanted to experiment a bit while nurturing my bank account, to try my hand at Dance numbers, (despite) not being the greatest dancer.” However, after a rather lackluster 2007, Mallika is looking forward to two Bollywood films next year that has her in main roles. And these two flicks are: Ugly And Pagli with Ranvir Shorey and Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam with Rahul Bose. Her comedy film Fauj Mein Mauj has been stuck on the floors and is likely to be made again under a new director. And there is also no news about her international venture Unveiled.
